Saboti constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Caleb Amisi has boldly declared himself the best-dressed male legislator in Kenya’s Parliament, citing his sharp sense of style and unmatched ability to pair ties with suits.

Speaking during an interview with media personality Steve Thompson Maghana, alias Oga Obinna, on the night of Monday, August 4, 2025, Amisi took a moment to compliment the host’s outfit before taking a playful jab at his fellow lawmakers’ fashion choices.

“Ona wewe (Obinna), vile umeweka tai vizuri, I can see you have matched very well. Very few men know how to match their ties,” Amisi said.

“I don’t know whether you are married or not, so congratulations to your wife.”

Amisi on his colleagues

Amisi further noted that he always looks at how his male colleagues dress and just laughs for lack of something to say.

The youthful MP then added with a chuckle, “I think I am the best-dressed Member of Parliament. How I match my ties, naangalianga wengine nacheka tu because I don’t want to say anything. But for you, you have done very well.”

Political ambitions

The lawmaker has since declared his intention to rally Kenyans against President William Ruto’s re-election bid in 2027, vowing to ensure he becomes a one-term president.

Speaking during a women’s empowerment event at Lukhome ward in Saboti constituency on Sunday, August 3, 2025, Amisi said that Ruto would be the first president to serve only one term.

Mweshimiwa William Ruto tunaenda kukufanya ukuwe one term, tutafanya Ruto awe rais wa kwanza kuenda wantam,” Amisi vowed.

The outspoken MP has been accusing Ruto of failing to address the needs of ordinary Kenyans, citing the high cost of living, economic hardship, and growing public dissatisfaction with his administration.

This is not the first time the vocal MP vowed to unseat Ruto in the next general election.

Speaking during a fundraiser in Kabuchai, Bungoma County, on Sunday, July 13, 2025, he declared that they do not need support from the opposition team led by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to win the 2027 elections.

Amisi said he has joined forces with youthful leaders such as Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, Bumula MP Jack Wamboka, and Kabuchai MP Majimbo Kalasinga to liberate the region from the influence of Moses Wetang’ula and Musalia Mudavadi and to prevent them from aligning the region with President Ruto.

Western inaenda kupewa mweleko na Edwin Sifuna, Caleb Amisi Majimbo Kalasinga wanami wamboka na wengine watakuja kujiunga baadaemko tayari vijana wawakomboe,” Amisi said.

He maintained that their team is strong enough and does not require the support of the Gachagua-led opposition to send Ruto home.
