A power outage scheduled for Thursday, June 20, 2024, is set to impact four Counties across Kenya, according to the latest announcement from Kenya Power.
The blackout, which is planned for maintenance purposes, will affect several areas at different times of the day.
The outage, while temporary, is expected to impact various sectors and activities in the affected Counties.
Kenya Power said that the Thursday power interruption will affect Nairobi, Kiambu, Nyeri and Laikipia Counties.
Nairobi
Area: Embakasi.
Time: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Places affected: Embakasi Est, Garrison, Baraka Est & adjacent customers.
Kiambu
Area: Ndumbuini, Kanyariri
Time: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Places affected: Kwa Ndume, Forthsmith, Vetlab Golf, Uthiru Gichagi, Uthiru Girls, Uthiru Genesis & adjacent customers.
Area: Kiganjo, Athena
Time: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Places affected: Alternative Energy, AVOIL Industries, Kamenu Est, Corner 1, 2 & 3, Kimunchu Police Stn, Kimunchu Pri, Jua Kali, Mali, Kiang’ombe Est, Burudika, Athena, Kwa Ali, Kenyatta Pri & adjacent customers.
Area: Kiambaa, Zambezi
Time: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Places affected: Part of Steph Joy Girls, Kagia Farm, Acre Tano, Thamanda, Zambezi, Gitangu, Kiambaa, Kerwa, Heka Moja, Utafiti, Kanyanjara, Kahuho, Universal, Rubi’s, Kamuguga Dairy & adjacent customers.
