Dorcas Gachagua congratulates 65 former drug addicts as they graduate

The Second Lady Pastor Dorcas Rigathi has congratulated 58 men and seven women who are former drug addicts from the coastal region for successfully winning the battle against drug addiction.
The 65, who are graduating in Mombasa County on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, are a part of the 1,200 graduates who have successfully undergone rehabilitation in various parts of the county.
Through her official social media page, Dorcas revealed that the men and women who are graduating in Mombasa have been battling with various drug addictions. However, through rehabilitation, they have been able to reform.
“From the drug dens of the Coast Region, comes something beautiful. Congratulations to the 58 men, and 7 women, who have won the battle against addictions, and are graduating today in Mombasa. Alcohol bows! Cocaine bows! Heroine bows! Dom (bhang) bows,” Dorcas statement reads.

Dorcas’s fight against drug addiction
Speaking On June 10, 2024, in Bomet County, the Second Lady disclosed that the office of the spouse of the Deputy President is set to graduate 1,200 former addicts who have successfully undergone rehabilitation in various parts of the country.
“Wakati huu tutafanya graduation of watu 1200 hapa Bomet tulikuwa na 207 wameingia wamefanya kazi na niwaambie hii pombe na bangi ni kitu mbaya wakiingia tu two weeks withdrawal symptoms unafikiria watu ni wazimu na wamejitahidi mbaka wengi wemekuwa sober,(this time round we are set to graduate 1200 former drug addicts who have undergone rehabilitation in various parts of the country, here in Bomet we saw 207 for addicts reforming, alcohol and drugs are bad when an addict goes for rehab within two weeks they start to experience withdrawal symptoms)” she said.

In Mombasa County, 65 former addicts who have undergone rehabilitation graduated after battling the addictions with some for close to 20 years.
“Ukienda Mombasa kuna 66 amboa wata graduate hao walikuwa walile wa mihadarati mbaya sana za kujidunga wengine walikuwa miaka ishirini kumi na mungu amebadilisha maisha yao wengi ambao tulikuwa tukiwachukua tangu tuanze hii mabo ya boy child.
